The ‘GAMEDUCATE’ project consortium is in the picturesque setting of the city of Marseille to attend the project’s international conference. Co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, the project aims to assist education systems needs and gaps with an innovative approach, by enabling the integration of innovative teaching methods and emerging technologies into the existing curriculum as the work that will be produced will be based on the analysis of the national curriculum of each partner country and the results would be combined in order to provide a comprehensive guide and toolkit that can be easily adapted and used by teachers at European level and in other levels of education.

The conference was attended by many French and international citizens, and the partners (from France, Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Slovenia and Austria) had the opportunity not only to present the project and its results in front of the audience, but also to express their views on what has been done so far and on the new learning possibilities that are rapidly spreading throughout Europe.

In the end, they all summed up and concluded that, although there is still much to be done to revolutionise the education system in many countries of Europe, important steps forward have been taken and GAMEDUCATE has managed, with its innovative tools such as the e-learning platform and training modules, to contribute to this process of change.

One last step is still to be taken before the project closes on 31 October: the final partner meeting, which will take place in the city of Marseille itself.
